AUMÜLLER Rack and pinion drives
Electric window openers for natural ventilation
AUMÜLLER rack and pinion drives have a slim, attractive aluminium housing of a robust, 30 x 30 mm square tube, into which the rack retracts. The cut-off switch and the motor gearbox unit are accommodated in a rounded, grey plastic housing attached at the side. The housing length is determined by the type-dependent fixed, basic construction length of the motor-gear unit and the variable, stroke dependent length of the rack housing.
The opening mechanisms consist of chromed steel racks with end position damping. The thrusting and pulling forces of the spindle drives are basically equal. The drives can be attached by means of adjustable clamping rings or bores in the front or rear part of the housing tube. The rack and pinion drives are fitted as standard with replaceable eye-bolts for swivelling attachment to various casement brackets.
A wide range of mounting brackets and casement brackets enables a broad application range with time-saving installation, preferably to outward-opening windows. When installing at the main closing edge , the swivel radius of the drive housing must be taken into account.
The integrated electonic load disconnection protects the drive against overload along the complete stroke length. As a cost-effective alternative to electronic synchronisation modules, two drives can easily be synchronised via a mechanical connecting shaft. For lighter windows, the drive force can be evenly distributed to two points of attack by means of a connecting shaft and a follower.
AUMÜLLER rack and pinion drives can be used in SHEV systems as well as for natural ventilation via automated windows, mainly in dome lights, but also in façades and roof windows.
The window openers can be installed surface mounted on the main closing edge or side closing edge.
The application area includes outwards-opening, light to medium-heavy side-hung, bottom-hung and top-hung windows and dome lights.
A synchronised run of two drives via a mechnanical connection shaft is also possible.
Users of rack and pinon drives consist mostly of roofers and façade contractors.
